Rapunzel from Tangled is shown here making an appearance in Frozen, while Anna is singing.
Disney has been known to have in-depth, creative easter eggs that add a bit of extra magic for those die-hard Disney fans. For examples, you'll often find hidden Mickeys or character appearances from other Disney media.

However, today, we're going to take a look at linked story-lines, and what a link it is! So let's dig in, shall we?

Disclaimer - Some of this is theory and speculation, but enjoy the read!

Tangled in Frozen

Frozen - Anna, Elsa, Kristof, Hans, and SvenIn Frozen, there's a few seconds where you'll notice that Rapunzel and Flynn Rider appear as the doors to Arendelle are finally opening up to guests. This happens during the song, "For the First Time in Forever". Here, take a look. You'll notice Rapunzel (post-haircut) at the beginning of this article.

A moment later, Flynn Rider also steps into the frame for a quick moment. But here's where the Tangled/Frozen connection gets interesting. You may remember that Elsa and Anna's parents set off for 2 weeks but then encountered a storm. From there, we fast forward three years later.

Frozen was released almost exactly three years after Tangled. Is it possible that their parents left on a voyage for two weeks to attend Rapunzel and Flynn's wedding? The directors did confirm that the King and Queen did leave to attend a wedding, but wouldn't say who's. It would make sense where there's obviously a connection. That would explain Rapunzel's and Flynn's appearance at Elsa's coronation. Obviously the two families were close.

How the Little Mermaid Fits Into All of This

Anna and Elsa's parents on their ship during a storm.

Okay, so Frozen takes place in Norway, while Tangled takes place in Germany. Most people think that The Little Mermaid takes place off the coast of Denmark, which means that the shipwreck that Ariel explores could, in fact, be Elsa and Anna's parents' ship. The waters off the coast of Denmark would be between Germany and Norway. Hmmm.

Anna and Elsa have a Little Brother

What?!?! Yeah, seriously. When some of the theories about Tangled, The Little Mermaid, and Frozen started rising, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck (Co-Directors of Frozen) had this to throw out there:

"They didn’t die on the boat. They got washed up on a shore in a jungle island. The queen gave birth to a baby boy. They build a treehouse. They get eaten by a leopard."

Whoa! Are they saying that Anna and Elsa's parents are also Tarzan's parents? Seems so.

What Do you Think?

Obviously some of this is theory, but certainly interesting stuff. What do you think? Does it make sense that Frozen, Tarzan, The Little Mermaid, and Tangled could all be connected? At the very least, it'll make you watch a little closer the next time you watch a Disney movie, won't it!

Just for fun
